This piece began outside—not as a sketch, but as an imprint.
Anemone blooms and stems were gathered from the garden and pressed directly into plaster, then translated into porcelain and built, one element at a time, around a hand-thrown vessel. Each form is individually shaped and attached, creating a surface that feels both organic and intentional.
The composition carries a quiet sense of movement—stems rising, blooms unfolding—echoing the same rhythm explored in the artist's paintings, but expressed here through light and shadow across the surface. The cobalt settles softly into the porcelain, held beneath a matte glaze that deepens the color without introducing shine.
A sculptural vessel that sits comfortably between function and form.
