The color arrives before anything else — a warm green leaning toward yellow, the particular shade of new growth in full sun. A crown of anemones circles the rim of the gourd-form vessel, matte white petals sitting just above the glaze where the green softens and fades toward cream. Below, the form is smooth and rounded, unhurried, the way a garden is in the hour before it gets too hot.

Built entirely by hand in porcelain, the anemone relief applied and shaped individually before firing. The matte sage glaze deepens slightly in the lower curves of the gourd form, shifting toward cream at the neck. Deceptively substantial at 2.53 pounds — it holds generous bouquets with ease, the wide opening as welcoming as the form suggests.
