The rim traces the irregular edge of a tide-worn shore — pierced, organic, neither quite stone nor quite lace. Dark chocolate deepens to charcoal, shifts toward navy where the glaze pools in the openwork gaps, the surface matte and lunar in texture with occasional flashes of gloss catching light the way wet rock does. It holds a table the way a found object holds the hand: with quiet, unmistakable weight.
Hand-built from stoneware, each opening cut and shaped individually before firing. The volcanic surface texture and color range — deep brown to near-black to coastal blue — emerge through the firing process itself. No two pieces from this series are identical.
