Cream white across the bowl, the glaze breaks at the edges into blush and warm amber where the kiln caught the rim — the color of a sanddollar that has been in the sun. The openwork pattern here is denser, smaller perforations radiating from the center like something found rather than made. It sits on a turned pedestal base, elevated, unhurried — the largest piece in the series and the one that most rewards distance.
Hand-built from stoneware with a thrown pedestal base, each opening cut and shaped individually before firing. The warm blush and amber at the edges develop through the firing process; the cream interior stays quiet against them. No two pieces from this series are identical.
